Rapture - Kayan Collective

Murmur
7:30 PM

Kayan dives into the moment of rapture that alchemizes grief for the old into power for the new. This night will feature four performances exploring this theme through each of the artists varying mediums. I will be hosting the night together with my co-creator Tania Shoukair, and (for the first time at Kayan!) sharing some of my own poetic storytelling.

Ketamine Fairy Training

Astaro Theater
7:00 PM

Amsterdam BANGS is an autonomous theater and art festival - all proceeds go to support liberation movements in Kashmir and Palestine. Our performance for this event aims to engage with the topic of dissociation in spaces of collective movement and celebration (aka parties, clubs, festivals) as a tool for collective liberation.

Nachtburgermeester Stichting: The Amsterdam Knights of the Night

Event hosted by the Amsterdam Night Mayor foundation, with the intention of honoring unsung heroes of nightlife. I performed some of my nightlife inspired poetry as the closing to the event.

Amsterdive Storytelling

Bar Blij

Amsterdive is a locally grown blogging community of international humans who've found themselves in Amsterdam. They regularly organize storytelling nights and publish writing from upcoming writers.

The Kosmonauts

What Is Happening Here Gallery

The Kosmonauts are a dance group that want to move you to dance, in order to remember who you are. I accompanied their recent performance with some of the poetry I've written on the magic of dance and movement.

Café de School Closing

Café de School

For the very last event hosted in honor of the iconic club's closing, I read a poem and story about a transformative experience I'd had at de School. This performance was my first of the kind, and set off all the rest. The theme of the night was: After the Sun has Set.
